Tony started his business career with GKN, the industrial conglomerate, in the export sales and marketing division. After GKN, he worked in sales and marketing for a number of companies worldwide – in Europe, South Africa, and the Far East. Tony is now a Visiting Teaching Fellow in Marketing at Bradford University School of Management. Having taught many of the School’s marketing modules, he now concentrates on executive development and postgraduate programs, specializing in strategic & tactical marketing. At Bradford, he has been Course Director for external clients such as Exel (now Deutsche Post), and Kelda, formerly Yorkshire Water. Starting in 2007, he will be running Bradford’s seminars for Royal Bank of Scotland. Outside the UK, he runs Bradford’s MBA marketing program in Dubai for Emirates Airline. Tony is a Fellow of, and a Course Director for, the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Open courses he runs include Foundations of Strategic Marketing, Managing Marketing People, and Internal Communications. For CIM, he has run successful in-company programs for various clients in different sectors. In addition, Tony is Managing Director of his own consultancy and training business (Tony Lindley Consultants Ltd.).
